What is it?
NMB has a specific product for sugar cane farmers.
This facility allows these farmers to borrow money to enable them to look after their crop throughout the year. The loan can be repaid when the sugar cane has been harvested and the factory has paid for the crop. The loan is also available for replanting. Simple and effective.
The loan amount depends on the farmer's expected cash flow.
Generally, and as formalised in the contract with the farmer and the factory, the factory will pay the farmer's proceeds into the NMB account to repay the loan.
