		BEN CHRISTIAANSE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Ben Christiaanse is the Chief Executive Officer of National Microfinance Bank PLC (NMB). As CEO, Mr Christiaanse is responsible for ensuring that the Bank attains its stated commercial, operational, risk, and financial goals. As the head of the bank's management team, he collaborates with and reports to the bank's Board of Directors. Mr. Christiaanse has over 30 years experience in banking in the Netherlands, especially retail, but also wholesale banking. Before joining Rabo bank, he was, amongst other positions, responsible for commercial retail business in the eastern part of Holland and head of the the mortgages division at ABN Amro Bank. In Rabo bank, before joining NMB in 2006, he headed the national and international payments division. He also chaired a number of Dutch as well as European payment boards and committees.

		WAZIRI BARNABAS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Waziri Barnabas has been appointed by NMB Board of Directors to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer since 1st November, 2009. Waziri Barnabas joined NMB PLC as Senior Manager Finance and Control on 25th August, 2008 from Barclays Bank Tanzania Ltd where he was Finance Director for 3 ½ years. Before Barclays Bank he had worked for Standard Chartered Bank (T) Ltd from 2001 to March 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM Accounting) from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA T). Waziri Barnabas has over 15 years experience in banking and has worked in various positions including Financial and Management Accounting, Treasury, Taxation and has been a member of Senior Management Teams. Waziri Barnabas will be responsible for Finance and Control, Treasury Front Office and MIS and Planning

		JOHN NCUBE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER John Ncube is the Chief Information Officer responsible for the smooth running of both head office and the large branch network from an IT point of view. He has over twenty five years experiences in the area of Information and Communication Technology with over twenty years spent in managerial positions within the banking environment. Mr. Ncube joined NMB in 2006. Mr. Ncube has worked for a number of financial institutions within the African Continent including the Zimbabwe Banking Corporation and the Agricultural Development Bank in Zimbabwe and SSB Bank in Ghana. He has extensive experience in ATMs and Branch Automated systems, SMS based banking and the management of large projects.

		DANNY VAN DET CHIEF CREDIT MANAGEMENT OFFICER Danny van Det is the Chief Credit Management Officer of National Microfinance Bank PLC (NMB). He holds a masters degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands. Mr. van Det joined NMB on 1st April 2008 and is responsible for all credit matters. After finishing his studies, Mr. van Det started his own retail company. In 2000, Mr. van Det joined Rabobank, where he worked for both the retail banks as well as the head office of Rabobank. During this period, he gained extensive skills in credit management. Amongst other assignments, he has been acting as Credit Risk Advisor, Change Manager, Manager Wholesale and Manager Credit Risk. He successfully completed several change programs aimed at reducing operational and credit risk.

		KEES VERBEEK CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER Kees Verbeek is the Chief Commercial Operations Officer of National Microfinance Bank PLC (NMB). As such he has overall responsibility for Personal Banking, SME and MSE, Agricultural lending, Corporate Banking, MFI and Sacco’s, Government Relations and Marketing. He was appointed on March 1, 2010. Prior to joining NMB Mr. Verbeek worked with Rabobank International where he headed Corporate Banking Team responsible for relationship banking to the Food and Food Retail Sector. In total he served as one of Rabo’s corporate bankers for more than 8 years. Before joining Rabobank Mr. Verbeek held among others positions in the International Cotton Advisoty Committee in Washington DC and Delta and Pine Land Company , the world leader in sales of cotton planting seed. In the early 1990s he did several consultancy assignments in Tanzania among other reviewing the Cotton Industry and the Tea Industry. He is an Agricultural Economist by training.

ARJAN MOLENKAMP
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Arjan Molenkamp is the Chief Operations Officer of National Microfinance Bank PLC (NMB). He joined NMB on 1st February, 2010. He is responsible for the Operations and Retail Banking Departments of the bank

Before joining NMB, Mr. Molenkamp was the Director of Retail Banking of Zanaco Bank in Zambia. He has almost 20 years experience in corporate and retail banking. After working for Credit Lyonnais Bank and Fortis Bank, he joined NMB-partner Rabobank from the Netherlands in 1999.

From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Molenkamp held several positions with Rabo bank before moving to Zanaco. In his last position in the Netherlands, he was responsible for countrywide change programs aimed at improving profitability as well as customer satisfaction for SME and retail customer in Rabo bank.
