NMB Bank House- Now Officially Open!!!

After major renovations, NMB Bank House was officially opened yesterday 4th May, 2011. Now NMB bank house is an ultra-modern branch equipped with ATMs, full-size banking hall, two commercial divisions offering premium banking services to corporate clients and Government business customers. Official Opening of NMB Bank House marks a milestone of NMB commitment to improve delivery channels to customers.

Official opening of NMB Bank House was officiated  by Prime Minister Hon. Mizengo Pinda. Speaking at the launch Ceremony, NMB Chief Executive Officer gave key welcome note to invited guests; “today our network may well be our biggest competitive advantage and since privatisation the bank has rolled out all the products that anyone would expect any leading retail and corporate bank to offer to its diverse customer base. In doing so, NMB has pioneered many new initiatives that reach out to the Tanzanian public, in rural areas and in urban areas”.

On His part, NMB Chairman Misheck Ngatunga said; “NMB Bank House launch is a living testimony of NMB continuation on improving service delivery to its customers from retail to corporate. NMB will continue to offer delivery channels that meet customer demands”.

Briefing the Prime Minister and other invited guests on a history of NMB Bank House, Mr. Ngatunga mentioned Bank House being a branch started to be renovated since 2009, upon finishing, NMB Bank House will offer premium banking to the Government and Corporate customers at mezzanine, first and second floors.

The Prime Minister Hon. Mizengo Pinda congratulated NMB for being innovative and a bank that cares for the low esteemed people. Hon Pinda also recommended NMB for being supportive on Kilimo Kwanza and taking endless efforts towards corporate social responsibilities. He categorically mentioned being a very proud customer of NMB.

As a gesture towards supporting community in its vicinity, NMB donated TZS. 10 million to Ocean Road Cancer Institute.  Official opening ceremony was witnessed by NMB Board members, NMB Officials, Corporate Customers, Invited Guests and members of different media houses.

NMB PesaFasta Launch

Today NMB has introduced NMB PesaFasta a new money transfer service that enables NMB mobile customers to send money to beneficiaries who don’t have bank Account.NMB PesaFasta recipients will be able to withdraw transferred amount from NMB ATM anywhere in Tanzania. The launch of NMB PesaFasta is a continuation of NMB commitment in improving service delivery to customers

Speaking during the launch of NMB PesaFasta that was held in Dar es Salaam, NMB CEO Mark Wiessing said “NMB is delighted to announce the creation of NMB PesaFasta unique service which allows any NMB mobile customers to send money to beneficiaries who do not have yet a bank Account. This will allow these unbanked Tanzanians to start getting access to the normal banking system”.

Today, NMB held a second draw for students opening NMB Student Account or use NMB mobile service was conducted where customers won various prizes including; 10 tickets to watch a match between Taifa Stars VS Central Africa in Dar es Salaam, 10 mobile phones, 40 Taifa Stars jerseys and  50 NMB mobile T-shirts. This brings a total of 220 customers winning various prizes from NMB.
